INSURRECTION - END OF THE LINE FOR THE TRUMP MYTH

There are moments in history when that mysterious thing called 'power' suddenly and dramatically shifts, like a rupturing tectonic plate, when consequences that were unimaginable the day before suddenly become inevitable. One thinks of the attempted Politburo coup against Mikhail Gorbachev in August of 1990, when the incompetent attempt by the old guard of the Communist Party to enforce a crackdown against the fall of the Iron Curtain resulted in the dizzyingly rapid outlawing of the once-omnipotent Party itself, and the swift dissolution of the mighty Soviet Union.

Or the moment in Tahrir Square in Egypt when the Army refused to fire on their fellow countrymen and 30 years of tyranny ended in a day, as Mubarak fell and the secret police fled into hiding.

In America, the nearest equivalent (until today) was April 12th, 1861 when rebel forces in Charleston fired on Union soldiers at Fort Sumter, and a divided North was suddenly united in patriotic rage against this attack on the beloved flag, and the untouchable institution of slavery was set on course for extinction.

Today, January 6th, 2021 may be remembered as such a day. To see armed Trump supporters storm the Capitol and desecrate the Senate Chamber, to witness the Vice President fleeing the Capitol, his life in danger because he refused to violate the Constitution, to see an attempt to actually remove the American flag from the top of the Capitol to replace it with a Trump banner...this is the end of the Trump myth. This is a stomach-churning display of fascist demagoguery which will likely spell the permanent disgrace of those Senators and Representatives craven enough to endorse it.

He incited insurrection. There is absolutely no question of it, and no one can deny it. He urged his supporters to march on the Capitol as Congress assembled to formalize the election in accord with the Constitution. "I will go with you!" he lied - and promptly retreated in cowardly fashion to the White House. He violated his oath in unmistakable action, resulting in riots and bloodshed. For all those who imagined that there was a cannily brilliant heroic anti-globalist strategist hiding behind the buffonish incompetent exterior, the illusion must be finally exploded. The incompetent lying buffoon turns out to be...an incompetent lying buffoon.

He must be held accountable. No Ford-Nixon "let the nation heal" moment of ignoring criminality. This is treason. This man and those elected officials who aided and abetted this insurrection must be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The Justice Department 'policy' of not prosecuting a sitting Chief Executive must give way to the fact of a President inciting a riot. If Joe Biden doesn't have the guts, rest assured that state officials in Georgia, D.C., and New York state will.

We cannot take the risk of further violence marring the transfer of power which has occurred peacefully every four years in America since the inauguration of George Washington. We will now see how many Republican supporters of this man see the writing on the wall, and according to their utterly self-serving natures, suddenly discover a wellspring of indignation as they frantically attempt to distance themselves from this appalling disgrace.

They supported insurrection. They should be deprived of office, as took place in 1861, in accordance with the Constitution.

As to the aftermath, there will be a large swath of Trump's supporters who actually glory in this moment, and regret that a full coup did not take place. There will be those who still buy the alt-media disinformation Q-Anon psy-op and believe that a hidden military "Alliance" is coming to the rescue of America, accompanied by mass arrests of pedophile ringleaders, and military tribunal trials of 200,000 sealed indictments of dark faction criminals.

And there will be millions of Americans who voted for this man who will turn away in disgust.

Our challenge will be to unite in the aftermath, to see through the tired old divide-and-conquer tactics, and come together to uphold the sovereignty of the soul in the face of the corporatist trans-humanist agenda, to expose the hard facts behind the facade of current events, and hold the new administration accountable to the timeless values of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

Permit me to paraphrase Abraham Lincoln's farewell address to the people of Springfield, as he left his home to assume the Presidency, to face a task "greater than that which rested upon Washington" -

"Without the assistance of the Divine Being who ever attended General Washington, we cannot succeed. With that assistance we cannot fail. Trusting in Him who can go with me, and remain with you, and be everywhere for good, let us confidently hope that all will yet be well. To His care commending you, as I hope in your prayers you will commend me, I bid you an affectionate farewell."
